Insurers limiting doctors, hospitals in health insurance market

That’s less than a third of the doctors Health Net offers to workers on employer plans. In San Diego, there are only 204 primary-care doctors to serve Health Net patients. Other major insurers have pared their list of medical providers too, but not to Health Net’s degree. Statewide, Blue Shield of California says exchange customers will be restricted to about 50% of its regular physician network. In response, California officials have been pressing Health Net and other insurers to add more doctors since companies filed their initial rosters in May.

Skin Care Cruise On The Cumberland River Heats Up September (video)

Situated in a picturesque country area, the Commodore Marina offered a shady place on the water to board the boat as skin care consultants came with their guests to enjoy the summer afternoon while they learned about the latest advances in skincare . Unfortunately, the level of the river had dropped from the 18 feet needed for the yacht to cruise the river to a little over 17 feet which did not allow the boat to navigate far, so the cruise was cut short. A short presentation was given on the booming anti-aging skin care business as well as the dermatologist-grade skincare products , and special creams and lotions were on hand for guests to try. Food, wine, conversation and skin care tips flowed freely regardless of the sluggish Cumberland waters, and the event earned high marks in spite of the shortened cruise.
